Jackie's Health

As we all know My mom was admitted to the Mercy Medical Hospital on June 15. After a few tests they found out she had Guillian Barre' Syndrom a very rare desese that attackes every 1 to 2 in every 100,000 people. They aren't sure how she got it but it could have been anything. On the 17 she stopped breathing and was put on a ventalator to help her breath. She was in ICU for a week before she was transfred up to the 6th floor. which is actually a whole other hospital in it's self. Select Speicalty hospital. Since she has been there they have been trying to wean her off the vent. So far she has done very well. She has gotten tingling back in her hands, arms legs and feet and she also had a charley horse in her leg yesterday which we heard was a good sign. She weaned on the vent for over 12 hours today which is great. I will do my best to keep everyone updated daily but if not daily then every other day.
